Xiomi has introduced a cheaper variant of its Mi Laser Projector in the form of the Mijia Projector in China. At a price of CNY 3,999, which roughly translates to Rs 42,263, the new Mijia Projector offers 800 ANSI lumens of brightness enhanced by P1W/A lamp beads from Osram. The company claims that the lenses can automatically adjust in seconds and supports HDR10 video decoding and has a 500:1 contrast ratio.


The Mijia is a short-throw projector that can project a display of 80-inch from a short display of just two metres from the screen and weighs 3.4 kgs. On the audio front, the Mijia projector comes with a 2-inch 10 watt stereo speaker with support for Dolby Audio. The projector is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It runs Android 6.0 operating system with PatchWall interface. On the connectivity front, there is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0 and 3.5mm headphone jack.


 


Xiaomi had recently launched its Mi Router 4 at a price of CNY 199 (approximately Rs 2,100) in China along with the Roidmi car Air Purifier, which is part of its Mijia crowdfunding platform at CNY 699 (roughly Rs 7,500). The air purifier comes with an increased CADR capacity of 80m3/h instead of the earlier 60m3/h on the Mi Car Air Purifier.




As far as smartphones are concerned, Xiaomi launched its Redmi S2 in China. Xiaomi Redmi S2 comes in two variants-- 3GB RAM+32GB storage version costs CNY 999 (roughly Rs 10,500) and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant costs CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs 13,500). The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is placed below the Redmi Note 5 and this is the first smartphone in Xiaomi’s Redmi ‘S’ series.
